Earthos

Terms of Service

Effective July 10, 2026

1. Who we are

EARTHOS ("we", "us") is a software company based in Michigan, United States, building LOCUS — a platform for placing, owning, and experiencing digital content anchored to real-world locations.

2. The service

LOCUS lets you view a rendered layer of the real world, place digital objects at real locations, hold permissions over places ("deeds"), and create or claim location-conditioned items ("drops"). The service is in active development; features may change, and early access may be limited or interrupted.

3. Payments

Paid features — such as extending how long a placed object persists, or funding drops — are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details and we do not take custody of drop funds; Stripe holds and moves funds. Except where required by law, payments for elapsed persistence time are non-refundable; unclaimed drop funds are returned when a drop expires.

4. Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of content you place; you grant us the license needed to store and display it in the service. You may not place content that is unlawful, infringing, or that targets private spaces you have no rights over. Every placement is attributed to the account that made it. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms.

5. Age

The service is not directed to children under 13. Features involving payments or verified identity require you to be an adult (18+).

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" during development, without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the effective date above will change when we do. Questions: darcell.cross13@gmail.com.
